Geography & Terrain
Winged Saga's name comes from how the continent is shaped like a flying creature with wings. While mostly flatlands, Winged Saga's wings and northern regions are characterized by cold and snow-covered landscapes. Near the eye of Winged Saga contains a mountain range and dense forest.
Architecture
Sacral
The lower regions of Winged Saga is renowned for its spiritual and religious significance, with its architecture deeply reflecting its sacred purpose. Many temples and shrines, often adorned with intricate carvings and religious symbols, are constructed from locally sourced stone and wood. These structures are built to honor the gods and house relics, with towering spires and expansive courtyards that invite contemplation and worship.
Beaux-Arts
The upper regions of Winged Saga are distinguished by their grand and elaborate architecture, inspired by classical forms and detailed artistry. Buildings feature symmetrical designs, lavish decorations, and extensive use of sculptures, columns, and arches. Public spaces, such as libraries, museums, and theaters, reflect the region's dedication to culture, education, and the arts, with grand facades and intricately designed interiors that showcase the community's appreciation for beauty and craftsmanship.
General Lifestyle
Very Religious
Daily life is deeply intertwined with spiritual practices and beliefs. The community's routine revolves around frequent ceremonies, prayers, and festivals dedicated to their deities. Each household maintains a small altar, where family members gather to offer their devotions and seek guidance. Religious education is a cornerstone, with children learning sacred texts and rituals from a young age.
Industrial
Very few but main areas in Winged Saga are characterized by a lifestyle centered around manufacturing and technological advancements. Technological innovations and industrial processes play a significant role in daily life, with a strong emphasis on productivity and growth. Unlike most cities, magic is used as a supplement to aid the development process of machinery and infrastructure.
Religious-Industrial Divide
The divide between the Very Religious and Industrial areas in Winged Saga is marked by a stark contrast in focus and lifestyle, to the point where certain laws heavily differ in certain areas and intolerance to differing practices arise. Borders were made to separate the two regions: the upper industrial region and lower religious region. Industrialists agreed to not spreading their influence out of the Winged Saga in return that the religious members allow joint control over the Desmond Dock.
