Geography & Terrain
Barraca can be separated into 3 subcontinents: Top Barraca, Left Barraca, and Right Barraca. Barraca mainly consists of deserts, badlands, and mountain ranges. Additionally, there are a few forests and rocky areas. Hot and dry air makes farming difficult, making many places barren.
Architecture
Adobe
Since a lot of Barraca is desert, a lot of the cities are built from sandstone. A lot of buildings are very "earth-like."
Ruins
After the Great Barracan War, a lot of buildings were sustainable only through the existence of Limitless Magic. Thus, after a few centuries, many of these buildings, communities, and areas fell apart.
General Lifestyle
Fear of Magic
Due to the extinction of Dragons and Giants by the Limitation Plague, many people refrain from using magic. It got to the point where certain areas restrict the use of magic.
Goblin Discrimination
After the Great Barracan War, many discriminated against the Goblins due to their size and connections in the war. Many cities use this to their advantage and made Goblins slaves, selling them to other cities.
High Crime & Corruption
Although many of the cities regulate laws and rules, it is apparent of that high crime and corruption are rampant. With an already difficult landscape to live in, many governments grapple their citizens with necessities such as food, water, and housing.
Major Events
Great Barracan War
Also known as the Giant-Dragon War, in 2200 FLC, a war against the Dragons and Giants broke due to cultural and territorial differences. Their ability to wield Limitless Magic allowed this war to go on for rough 250 years. Additionally, Limitless Magic allowed them to create the new races: Dragonborn, Lizardfolk, Goliaths, Hobgoblins, and Goblins.
In 2250 FLC, a plague broke out called the Limitation Plague, which essentially kills all Limitless Magic users. In 2450 FLC, the Dragons and Giants races go extinct, ending the war.
Slave Trade
In 2600 FLC, the Eastern Sea became the hub of selling Goblins. Many of Goblins escape to a Sanctuary in Fern to get away from being slaves.
